Agent sessions and package ownership

Give repeated commands a persistent agent identity, inspect active sessions, and coordinate package edits through leases and dirty ownership.

Independent agents need a way to identify their work and avoid conflicting package edits. Claudus 2.0 introduces native agent sessions with roles, resumable identity and enforced package ownership on participating mutation paths. A one-shot CLI process can finish while its session remains available for later commands during the backend retention window.

  • Use --agent consistently for related commands. session info inspects the accepted session; session begin requests a fresh session unless one was explicitly selected, and session end ends it and removes the local resume record.
  • Use who and packages to inspect connected agents, held leases and dirty package ownership before starting work.
  • Use lock acquire, renew, release and list to coordinate package access. call --lock acquires the requested package leases around a tool call; --keep-lock retains them for subsequent work.
  • Policy refusals, ownership conflicts and session errors are returned as structured results so an agent can explain the conflict instead of silently overwriting another participant.
  • Job and busy-state tools expose ongoing backend work. Queuing work does not make synchronous Unreal game-thread operations run in parallel.
